The De Luminarie Cagna. A giant colonnade made of wood and hundreds of thousands of LEDs. The entrance area is an imposing 28 meters high. The audience walks into a fairy tale gallery, surrounded by light and color.

Secretarybird (Sagittarius serpentarius), a large, mostly terrestrial bird of prey. Endemic to Africa, it is usually found in the open grasslands and savannah of the sub-Sahara. Although a member of the order Accipitriformes, which also includes many other diurnal raptors such as kites, buzzards, vultures, and harriers, it is given its own family, Sagittariidae.

This is my fourth tattoo and by far my favorite. It took a total of three hours and then I had two touch-ups done. I call it my Play Crack The Sky tattoo because it was inspired by that song by the band Brand New. The specific lyrics that inspired it are, “Your tongue is a rudder, it steers the whole ship, sends your words past your lips or keeps them safe behind your teeth.” It’s also a verse in the Bible in James. To me it means to think before you speak because words are powerful, and once they’re said, there’s no going back.
