Okay, just so we’re straight on this: the kids never really had a “choice,” per se, in the whole Scratch thing. Without Jake, there would have been no Liv Tyler and without Liv, there would have been no Jackspers (Jack would never have killed the Black Queen, therefore would never have gotten her ring) meaning there would have been no Bec Noir, meaning there would have never been a need for The Scratch in the first place. Sooooo….there was always going to be a role-reversal and the Scratch would have needed to happen regardless to avoid there being a really obvious paradox (something we already know Paradox Space is—oddly—not fond of.) DING!

Well, i mean, i have a vague idea; Obviously this “Jane Crocker” is some relation to that bitch Betty, and when the Scratch reset the world, the reset version is one where the evil baking magnate was never destroyed. I get that bit. And i get that all of our old friends are probably still alive in some way, shape or form. But goddammit, Hussie, if you add EVEN MORE characters to this story for me to keep track of i’m just gonna go ahead and start calling you Fyodor. Or perhaps Dickins.

Has it occurred to anyone…

…and, i’m just thinking out loud here—but maybe the line “Make her a member of the Midnight Crew”—a line which is chosen to be repeated quite a bit in “Black”/[S] Jack: Ascend—could be a suggestion to Jack to make the BQ into an ally rather than killing her? The Midnight Crew would have been aided immensely by the power she is shown to have once she turns into Snowman…
